Youth & Adult Healthy Lifestyle Jamboree
A day devoted to teaching nutrition and various physical activities to families to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Activities include basketball, various dance forms, 5K run/walk. Nutrition education include healthy lunch, introduction to an exotic food, cooking demonstration.
Community Health Day
A day long conference designed to educate the community on diabetes usually paired with a comorbid condition. Only credentialed professionals are allowed to be presenters.
Blue Campaign - Human Trafficking Awareness Day
January 11, Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion in exchange for labor, services, or a commercial sex act. Causing someone under the age of 18 to engage in a commercial sex act, regardless of using force, fraud, or coercion is human trafficking under U.S. law. Human traffickers use various forms of force, fraud, and coercion to control and exploit victims.
HLN host various events to educate the community on Human Trafficking.
Reggae 5K RunWalk
HLN will once again host the Reggae 5K Run/Walk. Details TBA.
